Hard Water and Hair

While all water may seem the same when caring for your hair, changes in water can make a big difference to your hair. The texture, strength, and softness of your hair can be markedly different depending on your area, the minerals in your water, and whether its hard or soft water.

Due to its high mineral content, hard water can be damaging to your hair. With higher levels of calcium and magnesium, hard water can lead to significantly drier hair. It’s also more challenging to get a good lather from shampoo and completely wash hair with hard water. Plus, hair that’s been color treated will often fade more quickly when washing it with hard water.

In some instances, the mineral build up on hair must be removed using a “chelating” shampoo, that strips the mineral from hair, but this can also dry hair out even more. To avoid having to take these measures, soft water offers an easier alternative that can contribute to hair that’s more soft and healthy.

Improve Your Hair With Soft Water

Although soft water isn’t a cure-all for any hair problems, it can contribute to hair that’s noticably softer and easier to manage. To learn more about the many benefits of water softening, contact the professionals at Texas Water Softeners.

  1. Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin

  4. I have dry brittle hair, and I wonder if my hard water is contributing to the problem. Would this cause dry skin too? I think I will look into getting a water softener installed and see how that helps. Is that something that is hard to do, or can I add it to my existing plumbing? Thanks for sharing this information!
